Today, Los Angeles based electronic DJ/Producer duo Jakk’d team up with HAWD HITTA, NoBueno and $on-$hine on their latest house anthem “CHECK THIS OUT” released on SEARCHPRTY RECORDS. Check This Out is dropping just in time for the summer, & these artists have come together perfectly on this track to deliver the energy needed for this summer.
As throwbacks have recently made a reappearance, with their catchy hooks and verses sampled over house music, the crew was quick to capitalize on this style and infuse each of their on unique style of production with the recent wave. The song delivers only the most “hawd hittin’ production” as HAWD HITTA would say, with vocals chopped into perfect position in sections over an upbeat rhythm for the global dance community to fall in love with. It goes on to groove along a strong bassline, as well as an irresistible brass layer sprinkled perfectly throughout, and all building up to a fake out drop which will have listeners busting out moves on the dance floor once it all finally comes together. Co-produced by Jakk’d, HAWD HITTA, NoBueno, & $on-$hine, “CHECK THIS OUT” is the song for this festival season, as it really gets the job done.
Although “CHECK THIS OUT” is the first release for HAWD HITTA since September, it’s noted that he’s coming off a US cross country tour, and is back for more. This time we expect to have Jakk’d, NoBueno, and $on-$hine alongside these upcoming performances. NoBueno has also been working to release tracks consistently and should be noted that apart from upcoming collaborations with Jakk’d, they’ve had some even back several years. There’s a friendship there from their DJ/Producer beginnings in Boston/New England, and crushing it over there before moving to LA as well. $on-$hine comes into the mix in 2022 with great energy. Not only does the squad start since to embrace him as a friend but they also include $on-$hine in on the sessions due to his background in music as well. It all came together in those early February and March sessions as the group pushes this out on new Los Angeles, CA based label, SEARCHPRTY RECORDS, founded by Andrew Wunder (NoBueno) and Austin Diduch (HAWD HITTA).
“We wanted to collaborate with our friends and day ones as we step into a new chapter of our Jakk’d project” says Max Dean of Jakk’d.
“There is no better feeling than having an arsenal of music ready to go for 2023 and beyond with one of your best friends” says VJay Seminiano of Jakk’d.
“I want to thank God for the opportunity to release tunes and hit the music scene ‘hawd’ with some of my closest friends as well as the chance to really go as a group to the next level with the SEARCHPRTY RECORDS label. The future is looking amazing for everyone involved in this project; from huge collabs to shows and even another tour, those BIG things are coming later this year for all of us,” says Austin Diduch aka HAWD HITTA.
“I thought the track was something everyone can relate to and really had a nice touch using some new techniques with Akai’s flex-beat. I loved how the track encapsulated all of our unique and individual styles into one collaborative record” Jakk’d came with the bounce, HAWD HITTA the groove, $on-$hine with the trumpet enhancements, and I was excited to bring the grittiness” says Andrew Wunder aka NoBueno.
“I just wanted to bring a different vibe and be inspired to finally get back into music. With a group of friends I consider family. I played drums for 9 years in multiple different styles of music. House music brought my soul back and I wanted to give back what it gave to me. A sense of peace, love, and finding harmony. I brought the Trumpets and heavy techno style bass to the track. We wanted to bring something very different to the table. With “CHECK THIS OUT” I believe we did just that” says Sonny Vilardo aka $on-$hine.
In 2023, fans of Jakk’d can expect exciting new collaborations and a string of releases leading into an upcoming EP. They’ve positioned themselves for a big break in 2023, with a vault of music to be considered one of the more exciting artist duo’s to keep an eye on for the remainder of the year.
