Grammy-nominated Montreal artist Mont Duamel has unveiled new single ‘Young’, out today.
Centred around warm, endearing melodies, ‘Young’ is an infectious pop jam that combines wistful guitar chords with Mont Duamel’s own captivating vocals. It follows the August double-single ‘Sunshine / New Light’, with all three set to feature on his forthcoming EP due for release this Fall.
Mont Duamel shares that “This song is about an internal conversation we can have with ourselves when we feel like we’re lost in the past. Constantly reminiscing about the past In a romantic way and being delusional about it. Feeling like we drifted along the way and It’s time to pick yourself up.”
3x Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Mathieu Jomphe Lepine debuted his Mont Duamel artist moniker last year, with the aim of exploring himself as a musician without boundaries, enabling him to dig deep into his mind, taking an honest look, and extracting various layers and pieces to then put back together in musical form. A renowned writer and producer in the commercial pop world, Mathieu has worked with the likes of Madonna, Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Khelani and Ariana Grande across a number of star-studded releases, including the 2014 World Cup anthem with Shakira.
‘Young’ sees Mont Duamel demonstrate his raw talent for crafting infectious pop songs.
