Amsterdam based, Japanese-American vocalist & producer Golin shares the track “Play Odds” from her upcoming EP Crush out 10/13 via Twin Records.
With its ethereal processed vocals and euphoric J-Pop hallucinations, “Play Odds” is a sincere invitation into the world of Golin. Making her debut as Golin in 2017, she released the entirely self-produced EP Momo, followed by Fushigi, a collaborative EP with producer Buga in 2018. Now after her two-year residency at Brussuel’s favorite cultural house, Beursschouwburg, and an appearance in Chalri XCX’s Club Quarantine this past May, she is back with “Play Odds”.
Hinting at Golin’s strong visceral live performance with focus on the impulses of her body, the Crush EP urges us to feel HARDER, as only the best pop music can. Evoking all of the danger, function, and intensity of ‘crush’ as both a verb and noun.
