Hydraulix, a bass artist who has been pivotal in the scene for many years, is heading up the latest release on WAKAAN. He stands out from the crowd with Bruxism, five heavy tracks with a couple of collaborations for good measure. It’s little wonder the likes of Skrillex and Four Tet consider him one to keep a firm eye on.
He has said of this project: “I wanted the EP to be wall to wall club bangers from start to finish. The EP is also named after a close friends DJ project who helped me find my Hydraulix name over 5 years ago when I was planning to become a producer. I’ve been writing a lot over the last 6 months a lot across different styles and after whittling the list down, these 5 new tracks are some of my best writing to date and I can’t wait to share them with everyone.”
From the collection, we really love the electronic/trap crossover ‘Jewelz,’ which kickstarts the EP and ‘Cheer Squad,’ an effortlessly sharp piece of drum and bass that cuts through with serious energy. For Krischvn fans, you can catch a special VIP of their ‘Chopper,’ closing off the release in style.
