With a fiery edge comes the brand new single from New York raised artist Roslyn. This eye-catching singer and songwriter releases ‘Lolita Express’ via SALMIAK, a label with an ethos to deliver music that makes a connection with the listener.
Plenty of influences pepper Roslyn’s pop style, and she draws on touches from techno, ambient and alternative. With the rich melodies and languid vocals of the tune leading it forward, she explains: “‘Lolita Express’ is a lullaby written by a survivor of abuse unfazed by her encounter. Her emotions feel like advertisements, so she makes fun of her own victimhood through lofty melodic techno, inspired by the alternative music she grew up on.”
