PLS&TY – ‘Motives‘ – If you’ve ever felt on the losing end of a one-sided relationship, PLS&TY understands you. The Miami-based artist’s new track ‘Motives,’ featuring Dutch producer GANZ and LA-based singer and songwriter Nevve, weaves a poignant picture of heartbreak and indifference with its cinematic, chilled-out basslines and emotive vocals.
“‘Motives’ is about one partner wanting so desperately to feel love, no matter how hard the fall or heartbreak, in spite of the other partner’s lack of commitment. One person ultimately ends up the ‘friend,’ and the other the ‘fool,’ for developing true feelings amongst the partner’s indifference. Yet, as genuine ‘motives’ always surface, I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all,” explains PLS&TY.
After dropping Rusko‘s remix of his ‘Rebel Love‘ last month, PLS&TY dishes out more groovy, molten basslines with ‘Motives,’ adding a dash of vulnerability for good measure. PLS&TY has made it clear he has a collection of music ready for our ears in 2019, alongside upcoming festival performances at Electric Forest, Shaky Beats, Summer Camp, Backwoods, Firefly and more. Keep an eye out for more soon from this exciting up-and-comer!
