Are there any elements that help you stay consistent in the studio regarding finishing a track?
I think there’s no specific reason that motivates us to finish a tune. If we feel an idea, we just finish it. Maybe it’s our passion for music that pushes us to move forward. But something we almost never do is forcing ourselves to finish a track.
How would you describe your sound going into 2019?
I think we’re going more and more into melodies. It can be whether beautiful melodies or aggressive ones, but we think that using more melodies can help people keep our tracks in their mind.
Do you have a favorite show/gig you have played?
Definitely yes, QÙN event (Vicenza, Italy) is the place to be. We had the DJ booth on the dancefloor, surrounded by all the packed crowd (like a Boiler Room party). This creates an unique and special vibe where literally everyone enjoy the music. We also have to give a special mention to the Confession event at ADE 2018. Playing alongside all these big artists (like Tchami, Malaa, Mercer, Brohug and many more) was also something unique. And this is due to Tchami, so we’re super grateful to him for believing in our work.
What artists are you keeping an eye on in 2019?
That’s crazy to see how many artists can produce amazing tracks nowadays. Really difficult to mention them all but the firsts that comes to our mind are ATRIP, Hidden Face and SLVR.
How many releases can we expect during spring and summer?
At least two. But probably more! We’re trying to be more selective on what we release. So don’t expect to see all our IDs released!
What are the themes or vibe that GODAMN hopes to convey through the music?
We’re just being ourselves. We’re really extroverts and we always have fun so it definitely influences our music. That’s why we love to create groovy and happy vibes.
