Plumpy & Trés Mortimer – ‘Bambu‘ – Chicago DJ and producers Plumpy and Trés Mortimer welcome in the winter with summer nostalgia on their sun-soaked new dance track “’Bambu”’ out today via Mad Decent.

Très and I were putting super glue between 808s and vocal chops one day when we realized we did not want to live in the real world anymore. We wanted to step out of the ordinary, because there is really no force keeping anyone in the ordinary. We got lost. Letting the music carry us to new heights. This is when ‘Bambu‘ was born,” explains Plumpy of the new collab with Trés, whom he’s been friends with since high school where the two would geek out on DJ equipment, make mashups together at the local Starbucks after class, and listen to the Bloody Beetroots and latest Mad Decent and Dim Mak releases.

“The song is an escape into pure imagination. From the melody to the feeling it gives people we will never create anything else like it. So it was only right to christen the song at a sun-drenched rooftop pool party later that day. Sometimes life just works out.”
