The worldwide appeal of the trap/bass music hybrid means that the music can now come from absolutely anywhere. This time around we get beats from Australia and New Zealand: the current link up from Down Under is courtesy of Yvng Jalapeño and Ian Munro, who together join forces with vocalist Cultra to bring you the newest single on Quality Goods Records (the label owned by the recently unveiled UZ).
‘I Don’t Need You’ builds with Cultra’s vocal warming things up, layered over stripped back bass before it rises to a jerky, skitty drop and the vocals come back in for round two. Jalapeño and Munro combine their own unique styles to perfect effect on ‘I Don’t Need You’ and it hopefully paves the way for more in the future.
The track is out right now, so go and get it from here.
