The next release on US label Quality Goods Records has been served up, and it’s full of fresh fire. An EP offering, this one is brought via Kyral x Banko, who are both currently based in Denver. Titled Focus, it’s another killer four-track addition to the QGR catalogue.
‘Break’ is a strong opener to this set, and it almost hypnotises the listener with strongly jiggling basslines and chopped up drums that punch through the atmosphere. “Bend It” is more of a trapped out bit, with rattling snares and piercing vocal inserts, whilst the third track is the title track, and is packed with reverb and deep bass thuds. ‘Matrix’ featuring rapper Matty Did That is the fourth and final addition to the pack, and really packs a considerable punch with its growling vocal overtones.
