Chris Lake – HOWSLA – OWSLA has announced their new house-focused compilation HOWSLA, which will be bringing their youthful sensibilities and punk-rock attitude into house music and showcasing a new breed of producers pushing the boundaries of the genre. Chris Lake and Skrillex have worked closely together to curate the compilation, which pays homage to dance music’s most timeless and foundational genre.
Chris leads the charge on the compilation with ‘I Want You,’ the follow up to his previous hit ‘Operator,’ which also makes an appearance on the compilation. ‘Operator‘ was named as Annie Mac‘s “Hottest Record in the World,” the informal ‘Anthem of Holy Ship‘ by HARD founder Destructo and earned support from house mainstays Claude VonStroke, Armand van Helden, Justin Martin, Busy P, Green Velvet and more.
The entire HOWSLA compilation is out May 5th on OWSLA. HOWSLA will continue beyond the compilation this Summer as OWSLA takes over Hollywood’s Le Jardin every other Sunday from May 27th until September 3rd for regular 100% house music residencies. The compilation is just the beginning of HOWSLA‘s unique take on house, so stay tuned for more!
