Fareoh – ‘Light It Up’ – Ultra Music – Following his popular summertime remix of Selena Gomez’s, ‘Hands To Myself,’ young gun Fareoh is bringing the heat with his new original, “Light It Up,’ which features Drama B.”
Diversifying from his progressive, electro roots, Fareoh unleashes a trapped out stoner anthem flanked by samples of bongs bubbling and smokers coughing with New York rapper, Drama B’s, syrupy vocals anchoring the track.
Fareoh first emerged on the scene in late 2010 as an anonymous producer. With no public identity, the then 20-year-old newcomer’s various remixes and original tracks elicited widespread speculation of who this rising talent could be – some even wondered if Fareoh was Avicii’s younger brother.
“It was kind of intentional,” says Fareoh. “When I first started putting tracks out, a lot of people started assuming who I was. So I just left it that way, for the mystery.”
Fareoh’s melodic and illuminating productions have awarded him a loyal fanbase that’s helped him garner millions of streams to date on tracks like, ‘Fight For You,’ which was the most played tune on Sirius’ BPM last fall, as well as a slew of HypeM #1 anthems including his rework of Hailee Steinfeld’s, ‘Love Myself.’ The New York-based beatmaker has kept a busy 2016 release schedule, kicking off with his monster remix of Skrillex and Big Grams,’ ‘Drum Machine,’ followed by his single, ‘Cloud Ten,’ which has more than 2 million streams and his remix of Skizzy Mars,’ ‘Alcoholics.’
