About a month ago, solo producer PhilZen, released his new single ‘Calling.’ While he branched out a little bit with this one, it goes along rather well with his style.
PhilZen has been primarily a bass house, deep house, and tech house producer. As a producer coming out of Los Angeles, PhilZen, or Philip Liwag, has been releasing music close to a year. Coming from his SoundCloud, he always focuses on electronic dance music that can provide “Deep/Weird/Tech infusion…” sounds. Notable tracks of his have been remixes of, ‘Bun It Up‘ and ‘Du Hast,’ and his originals ‘Alive,’ ‘Air,’ and ‘Eyes.’
This track is among the most unique I’ve heard in a while. ‘Calling‘ infuses elements of house, bass house, garage, and female jazz vocals to make for a chilling and very different song. Listeners can vibe to this, do a little bit of dancing, and really get down to this one of a kind track. It’s not often today that people get to hear a track that reminisces past genres in a way that still keeps up with contemporary sounds. First time listeners and returning fans will surely enjoy this track and look forward to the bass house, deep house, and tech vibes coming from this producer.
