Cash Cash took to twitter Saturday night to claim that Cash Cash member, Jean Paul Makhlouf, was assaulted by a member of Tyga’s team. Cash Cash could not perform for their fans due to injuries sustained by Cash Cash member Jean Paul. Jean Paul Makhlouf appears to have suffered a possible concussion, some major bruising and minor cuts. Images on twitter (see below) show the details of the injuries sustained by Jean Paul, allegedly from an assault by Tyga’s Team. It is currently unclear who assaulted Jean Paul and if Tyga was actually involved.
A representative for Tyga provided a statement, in their defense, to Billboard.com saying:
“Tyga was not at all involved in any altercation and was completely unaware of the events until the next day. While details are still unclear, we were told one of the members of Cash Cash broke dj SB’s laptop and security stepped in. They were interviewed by cruise security and Bahamian local authorities. No charges were filed.”
Also according to a statement to Billboard.com (March 14, 2016), a representative for Cash Cash told Billboard
“Early Saturday morning members of Tyga’s touring crew physically assaulted Cash Cash during an altercation backstage at Inception at Sea cruise festival. Members affected include Samuel Frisch, and Jean Paul Makhlouf. Jean Paul Makhlouf suffered a concussion, injured kidney, alongside bruises to his head and body following the scuffle. One member of Tyga’s touring crew hit Jean Paul Makhlouf of Cash Cash in the face following a verbal altercation when Tyga’s crew refused to leave the stage after the promoter called Cash Cash to start their already delayed set. [Tyga had postponed his 12:30-1am set to 1:45-2:35am overlapping with the set time of Cash Cash on the same stage.] A Tyga crew member was then filmed kicking Jean Paul in the ribs, while another Tyga crew member slammed him to the ground, punching and kicking his head and body while on top of him. Samuel Frisch was also shoved during the scene. Cash Cash was unable to perform their set and Makhlouf was also forced to miss their following show to recover from the incident.”
Both Tyga and Cash Cash were performing on a spring break cruise and give conflicting accounts of the incident. Cash Cash claims to have video proof of the incident but, has yet to release the footage.
