Low Steppa – ‘Playin With Knives‘ – Starting off the New Years with a gift for fans, Birmingham DJ and producer Low Steppa has released his edit of Bizarre Inc‘s ‘Playin With Knives‘ as a free download. Despite having originally been released in 1992, he has now twisted the track with bass-driven rumbling synths and looping vocals.
Coming shortly after his successful track ‘My House‘ featuring Mr. V on his label Simma Black, this edit follows a course that Low Steppa took throughout 2016. The previous year treated him well with a myriad of EPs, collaborations and remixes out on Food Music, Defected sub label DFTD and Armada Deep, while also holding down his monthly Friday night Rinse FM show. Low Steppa also played at some of the biggest and best events across the world including Reading & Leeds Festival, London’s Fabric, holding a Sankeys residency in Ibiza as well as dates in Berlin, Amsterdam, LA and New York.

Low Steppa is fresh from hosting his own night at Birmingham’s famed Rainbow Venues. Now he’ll be embarking on a US tour and also bringing a Simma Black label night to New York’s tastemaking Flash Factory. Finally, he will be joining Wiley and DJ Zinc at Bassjam at the end of this month.
