Taking charge of 21 Savage’s ‘Rockstar’ and making it their own this week is Ilkay Sencan and Dynoro – who together have worked their music on the 2017 smash hit. This one is seeing a release via Sony Music Germany and it’s sounding superb.
Ilkay Sencan has recently dazzled with ‘Do It,’ whist you may well be familiar with ‘Obsessed’ from Dynoro – here are two artists who always bring the goodness. Their take on ‘Rockstar’ is one riddled with gnarly bass energy and refreshing strands of melody.
Sencan sums up the process, saying: I’m heavily influenced by cool dirty, gritty bass loops and like to mix these sounds on top of house beats. One day I was listening to ‘Rockstar’ by Post Malone, instantly fell in love with it and had a feeling it would go down great in the clubs. I searched for around two hours but couldn’t find any remix of it that I liked so thought…well why not have a go myself?!
