DCC Studios – DJ Tips – There is a lot of demand going on for DJs and producers right now. Between meetings, tours and gigs, content creators need to make sure they’re churning out quality products from time to time. But sometimes, they get stuck and become unable to move on from that beat they’ve been working on for the last three days. Suffice to say, they have lost some valuable time, where they would have otherwise have made new music and perhaps some money.
Content creators want to be productive, but at the same time, they want to also create high quality tracks. To achieve both, some important tips can be learned, through the Secrets of Highly Succesful Artists.
Don’t Settle for Anything Less
The problem with many new DJs today is that they want to try to do everything all at once. With a vision of a jet-setting DJ playing in one festival to the next, the quality of their craftsmanship can suffer. Content creators definitely need to make time for their new music, so they can become productive, while also protecting their standards.
Remove Distractions
Time is a DJs most valuable asset and they can easily waste that time by becoming distracted while working. Whether they’re looking for an inspiration to get started or are halfway through audio mastering, they need to focus on one thing at a time. Turn off the television and smartphone, close those social media accounts and shut the door. Keep the creative juices flowing and do as much as possible, while honing in on the focus.
Stick to a Routine
DJs don’t have a defined schedule. They don’t exactly go to the office from 9 in the morning to 5. Having a routine keep things moving. For instance, after a 30-minute jog or light workout, eat breakfast. Get to work and work for as long as possible, or perhaps while the creative juices are flowing. Set time aside to answer emails, draft posts and for responding to fans. The routine doesn’t have to be the same for all DJs, but they certainly need to find one that works for them so they can maximize their time and still generate quality results.
Get Help
Sometimes work can take a toll on content creators. When they feel like they have so much on their plate with little time left, they shouldn’t hesitate to get help. Get a ghost producer to take charge of the mastering or hire a social media specialist to respond to fans. It’s understandable to want to handle all things related to one’s own business, but when it comes to a point when quality suffers, getting help certainly, well, helps.
Finally
Being productive while maintaining standards can demand a lot from one’s time and focus. Work on your strengths and improve your weaknesses to stay on track and keep coming out with relevant, high quality music in a timely way.
