Silque – ‘Like That‘ – Rising Dutch duo Frenk de Vries and Edwin de Brujin are Silque. With support from the likes of Pete Tong, Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez and Annie Mac, they are one of the most exciting acts at the cusp of house and techno music. Their superb year continues with this new beast on STMPD RCRDS, where they previously dropped the killer ‘Fête.’
‘Like That‘ is a stormer of a track, carefully crafted to deliver maximum dancefloor impact. Based around a rasping, metallic synth hook that buzzes through the track like a chain saw, it’s a high-energy house music affair with pumping beats and a slamming bass groove underpinning everything. It’s electro house with a tech house rhythm and ’90s percussive flow.
Gigs for the duo this year include Ushuaïa Ibiza, Summerlake Festival, Dreamvillage, Unsecret Festival and 7th Sunday Festival, showing that their DJ status is just as fast-rising. With further releases for the likes of Toolroom and names ranging from David Guetta to Mark Knight and Tiësto playing their productions, they are becoming a seriously big deal.
