This week in our exclusive interview we chat with Ramba Zamba, a super strong dance duo with an eye for a catchy anthem. Having just reworked the classic 90s tune ‘Torn,’ we got in touch with the German artists to hear more about what makes their sound unique.

Thanks for taking the time to speak to us! How long have you been making music for?

You are welcome. We started to make music at an age of 13 (Danny) and 14 (Tom).

How do you feel your sound and influences have changed along the way, and are they constantly evolving?

Music changes faster and faster, but we have the same influences. With every production we try to make the sound better and try new types of sounds.

What would you say your style is all about?

Our style is a combination of old songs, with a modern sound and grooving beats.

Which tunes are you particularly feeling right now?

We think that the music world is changing and many different styles and sounds are being released. It’s good, because it doesn’t become boring for the people, but our hearts beat for EDM.

What did you enjoy about making your new track? What originally inspired it?

We love the amazing voice of Pearl Andersson and the change to the very special drop that brings the groove into the song. We didn’t really get inspired by another track to make it; we want to make our own signature sound.

What have been the most fun parts of the year so far for you?

We have so much fun together both on stage and in the studio. We love to make music, and especially play out at festivals and open air shows.

If you could give a producer/act just starting out one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t produce what others have already done. Make your own sound.

What do you most want to achieve this year, and why?

We hope that our new single wins new people over as new followers. We want to show people around the world our sound, and hope they enjoy our music.
