Social media giant, Facebook, which boasts almost 2 billion monthly active users, is currently recruiting for a Director Of Global Music Licensing. The details of the position sounds like positive news for music rights-holders and definitely for those feeling a little beaten up by that other major online media brand with a billion-plus users, YouTube.

The company is looking for someone with more than ten years of partner management experience, who has a good track record of leadership and hands-on deal experience in music licensing for global organizations. The ideal candidate will also represent Facebook in meetings with music industry executives from other companies globally’ as well as being a source of deep insights about the music ecosystem.
